It was one hell of an experience. Now I can safely say that I've been in an inter-tertiary pageant, up against 11 other girls who are smart, pretty and talented. It was a tough fight, and even though I didn't win any title, I still felt like the biggest winner of all. Seeing my friends and family there in the crowd supporting me made me realize that with all these awesome people in my life, there's nothing more I can ask for.
This is the first time I've sung live to an audience of about 1000 people. I was so nervous that I forgot my chords half-way and stopped playing the guitar altogether. I was suffering from a sore throat days leading up to the event, and in the morning of that day, I could barely speak. But all was well in the end, miraculously, my voice pulled through (: Friends, the video is on my Facebook.
I must say, the experience of being in a pageant is unforgettable! The adrenaline of being on stage, the lights, the cheering. Good way to get your heart up and pumping! But I have a feeling this will be my last. ):
I still received a large haul of Loreal, Maybelline and Acnes products, and a $50 New Look voucher! Gave half of the Loreal products away to JM.
